Clay is Community.

Pottery Northwest is a professional clay facility housed in the bottom level of Foster/White Gallery in Pioneer Square. We have large open studio spaces, a community kitchen, a non-commercial gallery, student personal shelf storage, and staff offices.

Our community members have access to a wide and growing array of professional equipment, including a well-stocked glazing area, 9 electric kilns, 34 pottery wheels including an adaptive wheel for wheelchair users, handbuilding tables, a Bailey slab roller, two clay extruders, a Laguna spray booth, and tons of communal pottery tools. The space is also equipped with heating and cooling, high-quality day-lighting systems, security cameras, and added air filtration.
