On Thursday, June 26, 2025, Pottery Northwest teamed up with Town Hall Seattle for an unforgettable evening of connection, creativity, and conversation. Surrounded by friends and community leaders, we explored the powerful role of joy as a form of resistance in a time of cultural erasure. The lively panel, moderated by the ever-inspiring James Miles, featured ceramic artist Aisha Harrison, former legislator and changemaker Kirsten Harris-Talley, and Pottery Northwest’s very own Executive Director, Ed King.
Pottery Northwest isn’t just one of the nation’s top ceramic studios — we’re a hub for equity, expression, and radical joy. Through programs that center and celebrate Black, Brown, and LGBTQIA+ voices, we’re turning art into action and community into a movement.
