I explore cultural identity in relation to the society I live in. Long, black, braided hair has been a recurring theme in my work to explore notions of other as the wild and untamed.
With black growth onto white wall, I am considering this connection as an impression that begins and continues form, contrast, and absence to create a physical reaction through eye and body relation.
I am interested in materiality and through the use of these various materials, I investigate ways of seeing installations on floor, wall, ceiling, and alternative spaces.
